Endless Colonies: Idle Tycoon
Idle colony simulation across a chain of planets
An idle space simulator. Discover planets, build factories, and balance the minerals going in against the products coming out. The workers fall asleep, and the ones you forget are the ones costing you.
01
It starts with one floor
A station is a stack of production lines, and you own every one of them outright. The floor above pays for the floor below, so the colony grows downward — and the first decision you make is which direction to dig.
02
Push it, or leave it running
Every floor can be driven by hand or left alone. Both are real choices rather than one being the punishment for not playing enough: the loop keeps its shape whether a session lasts thirty seconds or an hour.
03
Managers change the maths
Each manager rewrites the numbers on a floor rather than just decorating it. Levelling one is a decision about which part of the colony you are prepared to stop watching.
04
Every building is its own ladder
Factories upgrade along separate tracks, and what you can afford to improve is set by what the floors above are producing right now. Research compounds into production; production funds the next research. Players arriving from idle and clicker games get the simulation depth they usually have to give up.
05
The next planet is a long way off
The chain runs across a galaxy and the economy is tuned so the last planet stays genuinely out of reach for a long time. Arriving somewhere new is meant to be an event, not a Tuesday.
06
A break, not a second game
The claw pays out in the same gems the colony already runs on. It is a pause in the loop rather than a separate currency wearing a hat, which is the version of this that players learn to ignore.
07
It keeps working while you are gone
Production continues with the app shut, and what you come back to is the reason to come back. By the later planets the colony you left has built most of a theme park without you.
08
The workers fall asleep
They do it quietly, and the ones you forget are the ones costing you. Noticing which pod has gone still is half of what a run actually is.
09
Rewards land in the same economy
There is no parallel track to learn on its own. Everything you are given spends where everything you earned spends, so a payout is a push forward rather than a detour.
10
What the colony is for
Everything it produces is something you recognise — food, toys, tools, appliances. A civilisation measured in the things it can finally afford to make.
